Information is everywhere; you could learn pretty much anything if you just did a little bit of research. However, information is only as good as what you DO with it once you’ve got it, and that is what lies at the heart of the Small Biz Book Club.
I created the Small Biz Book Club because I have personally gotten some really great ideas for my business over the years by reading business books. In talking to other small business owners, I discovered that they have also tried to read books for their business, but they had a difficult time getting anything out of them.
The difference came down to two issues:
1. They didn’t understand how to apply the concepts in the book to their business, because business books tend to focus on “big” business examples and that can seem totally irrelevant when you’re running a business with only one employee (you!).
2. They read the books but then immediately forgot what they had learned, because they didn’t have a regular system for putting the lessons from the book to work in their businesses.
The Small Biz Book Club addresses these issues by providing you with insights on how to apply the concepts in the books to your business, AND giving you a series of questions to answer and action steps to take in order to actually put the information to work for YOU.
